As a avid shopper and "fashionista" I have always had a passion for fashion. Clothes shopping is an ongoing journey filled with much discovery and of course , beautiful things to buy. My friends and associates have teased me for years that I am directionally challenged. They say "I get lost driving out of my own development" but when it comes to the mall, I will find my way blindfolded.

My fashion adventure through Nordstrom's, Bloomies, and my favorite specialty stores, is a blast from the past. The 1980's are back and rule the racks! Here is the Beauty Buzz and Hot 80's Trends at retail this summer.

Oversized Tanks & Tee's Paired with Leggings. (Leggings this season come in a variety of colors. lengths, and textures. Make it sexy, pick up a pair in lace.)

Jumpsuits (Do not be afraid if you are not a size 0. Select a mono-chromatic one. It will flatter, slim and elongate the body.)

Denim. Skinny Jeans, Acid Washed Jeans,and the High Waist.. Lot's of Ankle Zippers (very hot come back .)

Dresses. Bandage & Corsets are the rage. (The return of the "Maxi", even though not 80's. Solids, stripes, huge floral prints in vibrant colors.Dress them up, dress them down.)

Studs...Studs...and more Studs. ( Embellishments of the summer)

Shoes & Sandals (Every fashionista's favorite) Chunky platforms with lots of straps, metal, & beading. Gold is the color of summer. (.Choose your style but make it gold .) Gladiador sandals, cut high and low adds drama to your wardrobe.

Accessories. The Bolder the Better. Animal print scarves, Metallic bags. (Gold of course) Wide Belts, Bangles, Cuffs, & Headbands. Huge Earrings and Sunglasses in bright colors.
