Pet Spaces of Hope Adopts A Shelter Part 1
Designing Spaces visits the McKamey Animal Center, a 26,087 sq. ft. facility open to the public. This is not your average everyday Animal Center just for stray and relinquished cats and dogs that come through the doors. McKamey takes in all kinds of animals, like goats, rabbits, guinea pigs, even horses. Karen S. Walsh, LVMT, is the Executive Director who guides us through the many functions that are required to take in, properly care for, and find new homes for all these animals. While at McKamey, Designing Spaces lends a helping hand to renovate areas around the building to make life easier for the staff, visitors, and the pets. Included is a photowall, new tiling and even software to help simplify paperwork. This is the first episode of a three part series.
