The world-famous soccer star signed with Inter Miami FC this past July on a record-breaking contract. Messi signed a two-and-a-half-year deal worth up to $150 million based on his salary, signing bonus, and equity in the team. This excludes his revenue-sharing deals with Adidas and Apple. Ever since Messi has called Miami his new home, it has shown the power of Lionel Messi. Inter Miami CF’s social media following, ticket prices, and merchandise have been skyrocketing.

Messi’s House-Hunting Journey

The new resident of Miami was seen house hunting this past month. According to The Palm Beach Post, Messi and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo were looking at homes all over South Florida, from Broward County to Palm Beach County. Many star athletes call home to Palm Beach County including basketball legend Michael Jordan, tennis star Serena Williams, and golf greats Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods. But the Messi’s decided on Fort Lauderdale in Broward County.

The home is only a few minutes away from the Inter Miami CF’s Drive Pink Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. John and Stacey Dickerson previously owned the property, they purchased the home for $9 million in May 2022. So, the Dickerson’s made a quick profit in 16 months. The home is located in Bay Colony a gated community.
