Goodman Manufacturing Talks New Gas Furnaces

Designing Spaces explores the home of Daniel Boyette where a new gas furnace, The Amana 20 SEER Inverter System, has been installed in the attic. This furnace includes a steel tubular design, a lifetime replacement warranty, and a maintenance plan. Daniel gives how an HVAC system works, and the importance of having regular maintenance checks. Additionally, Daniel talks about the ComfortNet technology that is built into the thermostat, the modulating furnace, and the inverter air conditioner. With ComfortNet, you can manage your home’s temperature from anywhere if you have a smart phone or a tablet. You can program the thermostat for a 7 day program, and can have four different temperatures for four different times throughout the day.

I bought a Goodman gas furnace several years ago, and it has been the worst decision I could have made. I have had to replace the draft inducer fan almost every year at a cost of about 150.00 dollars a pop. A service rep here in town told me to never buy Goodman appliances again, as they are nothing but trouble. I don’t have the money to be spending that much every year or so on the heater as I am on disability for heart disease, so if it goes out again, it will have to stay out. I have been very, very disappointed in this furnace.
