Taking care of your spa doesn’t have to be a hassle. The HTH Spa™ 3-Step System for routine care has everything you need to maintain your spa and avoid problems with your water such as foaming and cloudiness.
- Step 1- Balance: First, balance your spa water before each use. To do this you’ll need HTH® 6-Way Test Strips to check total alkalinity, calcium hardness and pH levels. You can even test water online or through the Test to Swim™ app on your smartphone.
- Step 2 – Sanitize: Next, sanitize your spa water. Sanitizing helps destroy bacteria, keeping the spa clean, clear and odor-free. Both HTH Spa™ Chlorinating Sanitizer and HTH Spa™ Brominating Tablets are equally effective at sanitizing.
- Step 3 – Shock: Finally, “shock” the water – or remove organic contaminants that make the spa dirty. Given a spa is a small volume of water with high temperatures, oils and contaminates can build up quickly. Adding 3 tablets of HTH Spa™ Non-Chlorine Oxidizer Tablets per 250 gallons of water every week will keep your water clean and clear.
