Cabby from The Tile Shop gives advice on getting a proper layout for your tile project. It can be intimidating if you’ve never done it before, but you really only need three tools: a carpenter’s square, a tape-measurer, and a chalk line. First, take a few measurements and square up the space. Then do a dry lay of the tiling on the floor. You want to know what it’s going to look like exactly when it’s installed. Avoid sliver cuts, and make sure you know where your cuts are going to be.
