On this special episode of Designing Spaces: Spaces of Hope, we’re back at the Oscar Mike Foundation compound, a home base for disabled veterans, ready to unveil the renovations.

The Oscar Mike Foundation has one primary mission: keep injured veterans on the move. The organization provides an outlet to thousands of veterans through life-changing adaptive sports programs, experiences, and other events. Many of them hang out or live in the Oscar Mike Foundation’s 9,000-square-foot home in Poplar Grove, Ill., which includes 17 beds, an adaptive weight-training room, an outdoor sports court and much more. It serves as a rehabilitation center for veterans and a home base for the foundation.

After months of remodeling, Designing Spaces is ready to showcase the compound’s extensive renovations.

The Oscar Mike renovation would not be complete without a visit to an American Signature furniture store. That’s why our interior designer Jen is busy at Value City Furniture, hand-picking every single piece of furniture for the veterans.

Plus, the team finished the entertainment bar and kitchen with help from the folks at Sears and Kenmore, and Advanced Micro Devices outfitted the compound with some much-needed technology.

We couldn’t have done it without our friends at Dumpsters.com either, who supplied two 30-yard dumpsters to help clear debris before the reveal. Then, just in time for the big reveal, Nexgrill donated a cutting-edge grill.

Stay tuned – you don’t want to miss the final episode of Designing Spaces: Spaces of Hope with the Oscar Mike Foundation!
